When we think of any water sport, we’re most inclined to think of something to the extent of surfing or jet skiing. Admittedly, those activities are pretty fun. However, is that all there is to the vast, blue sea?
No, that’s not all. Flyboarding in Ft Lauderdale is an experience of a lifetime that doesn’t require a lifetime to learn.
How to Flyboard?
Learning how to flyboard might sound tedious, especially if all you’ve ever done is seen people crash and fall on the waves. This also involves a lot of crashing and falling. The mechanics of this activity are one where you’ll be able to get the hang of it after a few falls.
Broadly speaking, a flyboard coupon warrants you a ticket to propel into the skies as high as twenty feet while being maneuvered by a jet ski.
You will be required to sign a waiver and fill out a form for identification. Don’t be cautious! Children as young as nine can flyboard, and the activity as a whole is pretty safe.
Afterwards, you’d be instructed about the machinery and basics by the instructor for a maximum of 10 minutes. The next 20 minutes are where the fun starts.
You, or whoever you’re with, would be strapped onto two propellers that attach to the feet and attached to a jet ski. The instructor would maneuver this Jet Ski. Throughout the whole ordeal, however, you would be in constant communication with the instructor via radio signaling in your helmet.
The maximum to which you would be propelled is something that is solely controlled by you. Hence, if you’re uncomfortable with flying high, you can cruise down low.
Tips for Flyboarding
While the activity as a whole is a relatively simple one that doesn’t require many technicalities, there are, nonetheless, a few tips to flyboard. Firstly, you have to make sure that you’re always in an upright position. Slouching can make you lose balance.
Secondly, do not panic. If you start panicking, not only will you lose focus, but the instructor would have to stop the activity altogether to get you strapped out of the vest. Just have fun.
